Wang Theater At The Boch Center
The 80s synth pop scene is coming to Boston when The Human League, Soft Cell & Alison Moyet set foot inside the Wang Theater for this stop on The Generations US Tour. It's all going down on Saturday, June 27th. This is, without a doubt, a special performance. Simply put, a lot of the main British bands that were part of this movement in the 70s and 80s aren't hitting the road anymore. Luckily, two of the best, The Human League and Soft Cell, are still in the mood to entertain fans.
It's going to be a performance filled with all sorts of lights, wacky beats, and the futuristic sounds of synth pop music that are going to have fans on the edge of their seats. The Human League is coming off a year with not a ton of performances. They toured Australia recently, and they've also been featured in the lineup for different musical fests. Yet, what's coming to the Wang Theater as part of their Generations US Tour is a synth pop night through and through that likes of which, we haven't seen here in Boston a while. They're even bringing Soft Cell out of soft retirement for fans in Boston to experience some "Tainted Love." Once you set foot in the Wang Theater, you're going to realize the 80s called, and they want their music back! Again, these types of shows don't come around that often. That's why you can't miss this one.
We've talked about "Tainted Love." Soft Cell might not be the main event of the evening, but their track might get the most uuhs and aaahs from the crowd. The Human League, for their part, are going to be coming in with "Don't You Want Me" and "Human" as two of their top tracks from the night. One of the coolest elements about this performance is that the flashy lights and "futuristic" looks coming from the stage will start from the moment they open the doors. This is arguably the best synth pop lineup that you could hope to experience live.
It might be a good idea to try to create some distance between yourself and the stage. Yes, a lot of mega fans always want to have that up close and personal experience. Yet, with performers like these, you might have a better view of the light show and all of those things that are going to be happening if you're a bit further away. In fact, it might be best to have an elevated view of the concert. Just somethings to consider as you navigate to get your tickets.
