About Jeff Dunham

Now aged 63, Dunham has kept his passion burning for a slew of decades now, taking on new eras that have changed the world. With the rise of A.I, the man takes on new challenges with his fellow puppets, making it known that one thing will never change - his heart for good 'ol comedy. Holding the Guiness Book of World Records record for "Most tickets sold for a stand-up comedy tour", it sure is clear that he's taken over the world way before A.I. did. 

Dubbed as "America's favorite comedian" by Slate, the man has been performing comedy since he was a teenager around schools, churches, and at his Six Flags job. His first TV appearance came in 1976 as he caught the attention of Dallas reporters, including Bill O'Reilly. After high school, he pursued comedy, and had a goal to make an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson within ten years.

His career wasn't all glitter and gold, experiencing firsthand the struggles that ventriloquists face in the industry. By 1988, a talent booker for the said show reached out to him, and Dunham was thrilled to see that his 10-year goal was coming 2 years early. However, his appearance was cancelled by the talent booker just a day before. Two years later, they finally felt he was ready, and Dunham appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on April 6, 1990. He was invited to sit on Carson's couch, known as a mark of approval in the show. From then on, he gained massive exposure and appeared on various TV programs. 

Since then, the man has been consistent in his work, constanly putting out something new, and heading out for massive tours. Ranked by Forbes as #3 among the highest-paid comedians in the United States, he's been universally regarded as the icon who revived ventriloquism to positive light.
