Blue haired cosplayers and fans of Hatsune Miku, it's that time of year again as Miku downloads onto stages across America. Yes, your favorite digital star is coming to Wang Theatre on Sunday, 10th May, 2026, for the first of a rare two-night event in Boston.
Playing everything from EDM to Rock, Pop, Latin beatz, and more, this is one huge global production. Featuring an insane set list of 20 to 25 extremely high-energy songs that would completely wipe out any normal performer, Miku streams onto the stage with none other than her namesake song, "Miku". She plows right into the emo rock scene with "Unknown Mother-Goose" and "Genius Rock", then turns back time with the classic "Melt" before jumping back up with something brand new for 2026, "Can't Make a Song." It. Will. Be. AWESOME!

Kicking off on April 13, 2026, at The Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, this huge spring-summer run of high-energy virtual concerts hits 15 cities over the continent, with a rare, 2-night show in Boston's Wang Theater at The Boch Center on May 10 and 11, 2026. Organized by Crypton Future Media, the tour celebrates user-generated Vocaloid music, with a fan-voted winning track performed live at select stops.
2026 features new key art showcasing Miku in a way-out new outfit, also available to buy on merch. And after the LED screen controversy two years ago, the show now brings a brand-new refined projection technique, giving a clearer “hologram” visual.
The star of the show, Hatsune Miku, is a virtual idol created by Crypton Future Media in 2007. The show will also include synthesized vocals and avatars like Kagamine Rin, Len, Megurine Luka, and Kaito appearing as life-size “holograms” on transparent screens, plus a live four-piece rock band. Visual effects include pyrotechnics, laser lights, and immersive backdrops projected onto a screen and synced to the music.
