Derek Hough’s brand new tour is around the corner, and we’re buzzing! Derek Hough — Symphony of Dance: Encore comes after his well known 2023-2024 Symphony of Dance production and is anticipated to be his best live show yet. The road trip kicks off on the 24th of June in El Cajon, California, and winds down on the 16th of August in Las Vegas. On the road trip, he will stop in major US cities including the likes of Denver, St. Louis, Boston, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, and Hollywood.

As the last production was such a triumph, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo (aka NappyTabs) are coming back as creative director and choreographer. According to Hough’s official website, the event promises “fresh, high-energy choreography, breathtaking stage design, and Derek’s signature showmanship.” It will blend ballroom, tap, salsa, hip-hop - and much more. 

About Derek Hough 

If you weren’t already aware, Derek Hough is a legendary Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, and television personality. Derek Hough made the news in 2007 when he became a professional dancer on the ABC dance competition series Dancing with the Stars. He was a dancer on the popular show until 2016, and he took home a record-breaking six trophies with his celebrity partners. For his amazing work, the star has gained an impressive 14 nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, taking home the award a whopping 4 times. He’s so talented that he became a judge on the show beginning with its entertaining 29th season.

Derek Hough’s talent doesn’t stop there. The star has featured as an actor on stage with the West End premiere of Footloose: The Musical at the Novello Theatre as well as the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall in New York City back in 2015. The entertainment powerhouse also featured in the movie Make Your Move and had a recurring role in the ABC popular musical-drama Nashville.
