Wang Theater At The Boch Center
Anderson Cooper & Andy Cohen don't just get together on New Year's; you can actually see them live once their AC2 tour makes its way to the Wang Theater in Boston on November 1st. These two have had a lot of fun with that name over the years, and the crowd here really seems to enjoy the show; that is why they're back 10 years after the first time that they hit up The Wang Theater.
If you love the banter that these two have on that aforementioned New Year's show on CNN or any of their other appearances, then you're going to enjoy this performance. It's essentially the two of them being themselves on stage in an exercise that not only makes for good fun for the fans, but it also helps them a lot. They get a chance to see direct audience reactions to some of their bits. They might not get such honest reactions on their live shows. Both Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are going to be on stage at the Wang Theatre; that much is clear, but what are we really getting out of the performance? These two have been on the road together before; it's not necessarily a yearly event, but they do take these live shows really seriously in the sense that they want to interact with fans. That's one of the things that allows both Cooper and Cohen to remain "grounded." Both of them are on CNN, and that obviously implies they lean a certain way politically, but this willingness to hit the road to talk with fans who may come with a whole different set of ideas really speaks volumes about what they're trying to do.
If you ever wanted to catch either of these two saying something that management at CNN might not like, this is your chance! This and those moments late in the New Year's cast when Andy Cohen's super hammered! That brings us back to Anderson Cooper, though. Although he's opinionative, he's usually on brand. At these live shows, he's a little more himself. Although in the past, he has served as more of a moderator to make sure that Andy Cohen doesn't go off the rails. That's pretty much what you can expect to see at the Wang Theatre.
This is one of the few times that you will want to be close to the stage at a show here at the Wang Theatre. Being next to both ACs could give you a better chance to interact with them directly as part of the Q&A session that basically covers the entire show. One of the best things about this venue is that you'll have a good view of anyone on stage, even from further back.
