The trio from Los Angeles emerged in 2003 when Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan wanted an outlet for “various voice” in his head. The band was created as an avenue to let out all his aural experiments, creating a full fledged band in the process. The group released their debut album V is for Vagina in 2007. The effort peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200 and spawned alternative charting hits, “Cuntry Boner” and “Queen B.” Puscifer continued to push their diversified sound and experiment on various rock genres, a move that proved to be noteworthy with the cult success of their subsequent releases. The last album Puscifer released was Existential Reckonig, which was released in 2020.
