Your favorite weekly true crime comedy podcast is hitting the road. Hosted by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, get ready to be all spooked up for the most thrilling murder, crime, and survivor stories you'll ever hear. Over the years, their weekly affair had dominated podcast charts, peaking at #3 on iTunes, and getting over thirty million downloads each month. Recently teaming up with Blanchard House for a multi-project deal, the iconic duo is gearing up for a new era of incredible stories to share with ya'll.
When Kilgariff and Hardstark linked up in a Hallowwen party back in 2014, the duo instantly found a shared interest in true crime. Before they kicked off their podcast, Kilgariff was kown for her stand-up gigs wherein she'd sing & play the guitar to hilarious original songs. With a background in TV talk shows having worked on Mr. Show, Ellen, and The Pete Holmes How, she truly belongs to the entertainment biz.
January 2016 marks My Favorite Murder's first release, discussing cases of JonBenét Ramsey and the Golden State Killer. Each selecting a true crime, murder, survivor, or historical event to discuss, Kilgariff and Hardstark walk listeners through a thrilling journey with some laughs in between. Over the years, the show has welcomed a couple of star-studded guests who join in on the spooky fun, including Paul Holes, Bellamy Young, Cameron Britton, Conan O'Brien, Guy Branum, and many more.
With full episodes on Thursdays and some "minisodes" on mondays, these fellas have explored all sorts of true crime stories. In particular, 'minisodes' feature "Hometown Murders" - stories of straight from their listeners' connections or experiences submitted via email. These segments have also won a massive crowd on their own, tackling topics from hidden objects to paranormal encounters, family secrets, and many more.
Ending each episode with "Stay Sexy and Don't Get Murdered," and asking Hardstark's siamese cat if they'd like a cookie, the show comes to a close with a meow.
