The unforgettable, irreverent, and, frankly, hilarious Ali Wong comes to Wang Theatre on Friday 6th August 2021 for the first in a two-night run of her Milk and Money Tour! The no-holds-barred comedian is best known for her explicit and impeccably observed riffs on motherhood, womanhood, and modern life as an Asian American woman, and the Milk and Money Tour continues where her critically acclaimed Netflix specials left off! Do not miss your chance to see this phenomenal comic live!
Ali Wong first began her stand-up career upon graduating university and was named by Variety as one of 2011’s “10 Comics to Watch”. Over the next couple of years, she made several television appearances, including on The Tonight Show, John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show and Dave Attell's Comedy Underground Show, and she was cast as a series regular on the NBC comedy series Are You There, Chelsea? In 2014, she became a writer on the ABC series Fresh Off the Boat. Her Netflix special, Baby Cobra (2016), made Wong a household name and that same year she began starring in the main cast of the ABC sitcom American Housewife. Her second Netflix special, Hard Knock Wife, was released in 2018. Both Netflix specials were filmed when she was seven months pregnant with her first and second children, respectively. In 2019, she co-wrote and co-starred in the Netflix film Always Be My Maybe. She also voiced the titular character Bertie in the Netflix animated show Tuca & Bertie and later in 2019 released her first book entitled Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets and Advice for Living Your Best Life.
